This policy explains how you can pay for orders placed with The Old Cobble Co at theoldcobble.co.uk or in our Bournemouth store.
Accepted payment methods
• Debit and credit cards – Visa, Mastercard and other major cards shown at checkout.
• Shop Pay – Shopify's accelerated checkout, which lets you save your details for faster future purchases.
The payment options available to you are displayed on the checkout page before you confirm your order.
Currency and pricing
All prices are shown and charged in pounds sterling (GBP). Prices include VAT where applicable. Shipping charges, if any, are shown at checkout before you pay; UK orders over £50 qualify for free standard delivery.
We make every effort to display accurate prices. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of an error, we will contact you before dispatch and give you the option to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
When you are charged
Payment is authorised when you place your order and taken in full at that point. Your order is processed and dispatched once payment has been successfully confirmed.
Payment security
All payments are processed through Shopify Payments over an encrypted (SSL/TLS) connection. Card details are handled by PCI DSS-compliant payment processors; The Old Cobble Co never sees or stores your full card number.
Declined or failed payments
If a payment is declined, your order will not be placed. Please check your card details and billing address, or contact your card issuer. Your bank may also ask you to complete an extra security check (such as 3-D Secure) to approve the payment.
Refunds to your payment method
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Once we issue a refund, it normally appears in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. See our Return & Refund Policy for full details.
Fraud prevention
To protect our customers, we may review orders flagged by our payment provider and may ask for verification before dispatch. We reserve the right to cancel and fully refund any order we reasonably believe to be fraudulent.
